West of England Judo Camp 2008

Well, Brean is over for another year and what a scorcher! The sunshine certainly made up for last year, but then after the deluge we deserved a good one!

World Champion and Olympic Silver Medallist Kate Howey was back for the fourth year running and gave some great insight into her favourite throws, turnovers and choke techniques. Kano or Dan grade, there was something for everyone to have a go at, and to take away and perfect. Turnout on the Sunday afternoon session was excellent, despite the hours spent in the pool on Saturday afternoon, the late karaoke nights, and the BBQ on Saturday evening!

Of course none of it would have been possible without all those people who helped to organise the event and with moving and setting out mats - thanks to you all!

Will Brean 2009 surpass 2008? Its a tough act to follow, but we're on a roll and we'll be celebrating the tenth anniversary... So we'll see you there!
