7th August 2007- Glyn Williams

You may not be aware yet that Glyn, who helps John out on a Thursday night at Ashton and trains with the seniors, has unfortunately had a severe accident whilst at work.

He is currently receiving treatment in Frenchay hospital for spinal injuries. Although he has gained some slight sensation back, he is currently laid up in the high dependency ward.

In the near future he will be moving to Salisbury Hospital for specialist care treatment as soon as a bed becomes available.

As a club, we thought it would be nice to do a collection, and use the money collected towards either his “bed TV” or to help with travelling expenses for his wife, Helen, and children to visit him at the Spinal Hospital in Salisbury.

If you feel that you would like to make a donation, no matter how small, then please put it in the coloured pot on the bar.

The same is being arranged with Patchway Judo Club & Tora Kai Judo club (Glyn’s other club in Pill he trains at).

As Glyn will be in hospital for many months, we are also considering a fund raising event, if anyone has any suggestions then please speak to Judy, Mark or John.

Many Thanks,

The Committee
New Star Ashton.
